These earrings celebrate the success the Mannsdale Upper Elementary School 4th grade students (2022-2023 school year) proposed the legislature to create and pass a bill to adopt the blueberry as the state fruit. The blueberry is vastly grown in the state of Mississippi both commercially, in home gardens, and in the wild. The house and senate both passed the bill with only one negative vote. The governor officially signed the bill into law on March 13, 2023, with their teacher and many students present.
Earrings will be hand delivered at Mannsdale Upper School the week of April 17th.
All proceeds of the earrings will go to our Mannsdale Upper Elementary School Garden Club.
